Norton Records recording Artists Bloodshot Bill & King Khan
joined forces almost a decade ago and to form Tandoori Knights. Their mission was to make a new brand of rock n’ roll inspired heavily from their Indian and Trinidadian roots.
What resulted blew Norton Records Mogul Billy Miller’s mind and they were asked to make more and more for the legendary label.
With 4 seven inches and a full length record under their belt, they even recorded under the moniker “Bollywood Argyles” and did a sacred psychedelic version of the Rolling Stones b-side “Gomper”.
Their legendary status began after a strange incident and resulting law suit from musical fascist Dick Clarke, when he refused to let them play on American Bandstand based on the color and smell of their skin. This racism fuelled the boys into writing about the experience in song, and resulted in a new generation taunting
Dick Clarke for his bufoonery. When asked about the lawsuit against them, the tandoori knights released the statement, “you can’t draw blood from a stone”.
The Tandoori Knights are reuniting for only two exclusive shows this April. Berlin on April 11th and at the Wild Weekend in Mallorca on the following weekend.
