The Berlin summer is approaching fast and what better way to celebrate than with an evening at cassiopeia Berlin?
Summer Say will be filled with summery Indie bands to set the mood after the RAW-Gelände gets taken by the Berlin sunset. The initial Summer Say fest at Cassiopeia plans to welcome this in a special way, by having Berlins own The Flavians, Me & the Monster and Strand Child leave you sun kissed with a summery breeze on your mind.
The celebration opens at 19.00 and ends when you want it to. At midnight Hit The Road Jack Party will be playing your favourite 60s, 70s and 80s hits that will keep you dancing until the daylight hours.
The Flavians – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUir6A-47Wc
With vocal harmonies from a blend of three diverse voices, psychedelic guitar textures and lyrics discussing themes such as destitution and alienation, they walk the tightrope between the surreal and the mundane while staying grounded and focused on writing accessible, melodic, yet experimental songs.

Me & the Monster is an international band founded in 2017 in the concrete jungle of Berlin. With numerous performances, they gained national and international followers. The four musicians from Austria, Italy, Spain and Venezuela build indigenous rhythms, dark-coloured, English-lyrics and glaring electronic effects. The catchy melodies take the audience into a magical world that blossom on stage.

Singer Mario Quezada’s voice floats over an ocean of blissed-out guitars. (Think if Sonic Youth scored a Frankie Avalon movie.) Critics have described them as a “smoothie for the ears,” but don’t let the catchy hooks and chill vibes fool you. It’s winter seen through summery eyes.
