Kitty Solaris

Kitty Solaris ist Musikerin, Labelbetreiber, Konzertveranstalter und Mittediva. Ihr neuestes Album “COLD CITY” veröffentlicht Sie am 22. Februar.

(Carsten Wohlfeld) Westzeit

Interbellum

Interbellum is the musical project of Lebanese singer-songwriter Karl Mattar (aka Charlie Rayne). The project blends elements of noise pop, folk and garage rock into an idiosyncratic mix centered around Mattar’s songwriting. Latest album Dead Pets, Old Griefs (2018, Ruptured/Cargo Records UK) was recorded in Beirut with long-time producer Fadi Tabbal and features 10 songs that revolve around themes of memory, time, childhood and loss. The record plays like a broken music box, its kaleidoscopic melodic songs disjointed and smeared with noise, dissonance and processed sounds. The project and album have made best-of lists in the Arab world and beyond, receiving praise from publications like Gold Flake Paint, The Wire and GQ Middle East among many others.

Marta Collica

Marta Collica is an Italian songwriter, singer and
multi-instrumentalist. Her voice is unmistakeable – beautifully emotive, dark and dreamy with a smouldering intensity and she plays guitar, keyboards and percussion with an original style that combines minimal arrangements – seemingly delicate but also distorted, with an undercurrent of psychedelia. Now based in Berlin, she is a key member of the John Parish Band (composer and producer for PJ Harvey, Eels, Tracy Chapman etc) and is also well know for her long term collaboration with Australian songwriter Hugo Race with their duo, Sepiatone.
On the 24th of March Marta will play together with the Italian
guitarist Deko and Australian cellist-singer Rachel Maio a selection of songs from her new solo album Inverno (Brutture Moderne/Solaris Empire) which has been selected as one of “Die 25 besten Berliner Tonträger 2017″by Zitty Magazine
