Hund live at Kapital (Karl-Marx-Platz 18, 12043 Berlin)
Contemporary Songs, Experimental Songwriting
The music of Hund unfolds like extracts from a long-running conversation about songs and poems, hands and plants, politics and feelings and other peculiar things. They combine multiple instruments, objects, languages and voices to create weird and beautiful songs.
Frieda Gawenda – voice, flugelhorn, objects
Felix Koch – guitar, trumpet, voice
Sebastian Schlemminger – clarinet, synthesizer, voice
Hund create soundscapes that are at once confusing and charming, bold and fragile. They include poems by Sarah Kirsch, Johanna Montanari, Antjie Krog and W. Butler Yeats amongst others, as well as many original texts in German and English for their songs with exuberant fantasy, minimalist arrangement and gritty sophistication.
The group Hund was founded in winter 2017. Since then, they have played almost 50 concerts in Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Switzerland, Turkey and Ireland.
„Wonderfully between fragility and certainty.“
„Experimental yet always impressive melodies. Atmospheric.“
